TIM: forms cloud alliance with French technology firm Atos

(CercleFinance.com) - TIM and French technology firm Atos are teaming up to develop a new cloud-based platform that will supply secure and localied public and private data management in Italy.


As part of the strategic partnership, the companies plan to provide customers and public administrations with "speed, flexibility and immediate control" of their information.

TIM and Atos said they will focus on the implementation of pan-European standards, called Gaia-X, in line with the European Commission's objectives on data protection in key sectors.

The joint cloud platform is expected to be commercialized by the first half of 2021.
