Accenture: buys Australian defence consultancy firm

(CercleFinance.com) - Consulting giant Accenture said on Wednesday that it has acquired BCT Solutions, an Australian-based defence technology firm, for an undisclosed amount.


BCT - which is a privately owned company - is specialised in command and control, cybersecurity, along with cyber defence services.

It was founded in 2015 by defence force veterans Patrick Batch and Angus Heatley, and has offices in Canberra and Brisbane.

The deal will bolster Accenture's cybersecurity, cyber defence and technical expertise for its governmental clients, the group said.

Accenture has worked with Australia's government for over 20 years, it said.
