TechnipFMC: hydrogen project with EDP

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday TechnipFMC announced that it is teaming up with the Portuguese energy group EDP to launch a feasibility study on the production of green hydrogen from offshore wind turbines.


The "Behyond" project - which will include other research offices - aims to develop a new offshore technology for producing hydrogen from wind energy.

The partners say that they want to design an innovative integration system based on hydrogen production and conditioning equipment that would facilitate its transport to coastal infrastructures.

This aims to create a unique concept that could be standardised and adopted worldwide, enabling the large-scale production of hydrogen, the companies said.
