easyJet: departure of chief operating officer

(CercleFinance.com) - easyJet announces that effective July 1, Peter Bellew has resigned as chief operating officer (COO) to pursue other opportunities and has committed to a smooth transition in the interim.


David Morgan has been appointed to lead the operational function as interim COO, reporting directly to Johan Lundgren. He has been with easyJet since 2016, including nearly a year as interim COO in 2019.

The British low-cost airline added that it "continues to monitor its business very closely, having taken pre-emptive steps to build resilience for the summer due to the current operating environment."
