easyJet: to join FTSE 100 after reshuffle
(CercleFinance.com) - easyJet will join the FTSE 100 index taking effect from the start of trading on Monday 23 December, FTSE Russell said as part of its latest index review.
easyJet's share price has taken off since the beginning of the year, rising by around 23%, while the FTSE 100 index has increased by about 7%. Other changes were made to the FTSE 100 index following the quarterly review, with food delivery firm Just Eat also joining the index and silver producer Fresnillo and insurer leaving the benchmark.
