Sainsbury: chairman of banking unit to step down

(CercleFinance.com) - British grocer Sainsbury's said on Wednesday that the board chairman of its banking unit, Roger Davis, is to step down.

A search to find his replacement will begin and a further announcement regarding the timing of his retirement and news of his successor will be made in due course, the supermarket group said in a brief statement.

Roger Davis has been the chairman of the Sainsbury's bank board for nearly seven years. He was appointed in 2013, when Sainsbury's Bank became fully owned by Sainsbury's.
