AstraZeneca: reaches agreement to sell site in Ohio

(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca announced on Wednesday that it had reached an agreement to sell its West Chester (Ohio) plant to Resilience, a US technology group specialising in the production of complex molecules.


The pharmaceutical group justified its decision by its strategy to optimise its production capacities in line with the evolution of its product portfolio and its current projects.

It says that the sale of the West Chester site to Resilience will ensure the continued supply of AstraZeneca's medicines to the US market, while securing the jobs of the 500 employees at the site.

AstraZeneca expects to complete the divestment in Q1 2023, following a transition phase.
