AstraZeneca: Fasenra approved for self-injection

(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca announced on Friday that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Fasenra's principle of self-administration in a pre-filled, single-use auto-injector.


This approval is supported by data from the GRECO Phase III trial and the AMES Phase I trial. The safety and tolerability of Fasenra in these trials were consistent with the established drug profile.

The self-administration of Fasenra and the Fasenra pen are also approved in the European Union.
