GSK: signs statement with gavib for vaccines

(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi and GSK announce that they have signed a declaration of intent with Gavi, the legal administrator of the COVAX Facility, a global risk-sharing mechanism for pooled procurement, to guarantee each country, "equitable distribution of eventual COVID-19 vaccine".


Over 180 countries have recently joined the international mechanism to obtain immunisation, rapidly and under beneficial financial conditions, in order to cope with the extent of the pandemic.

Both health groups intend to provide 200 million doses of their recombinant protein adjuvant vaccine against Covid-19, if approved by the regulatory authorities and subject to contract.
