bp: names two new directors to board

(CercleFinance.com) - bp announced a series of changes to its board of directors on Friday, including the addition of the CEO of German utility giant E.
ON.

Johannes Teyssen, the chairman of E.ON's management board since 2010, was previously a director of Deutsche Bank. On joining the bp board he will become a member of the safety and sustainability committee, the group said.

bp also said that it has named Karen Richardson, a US businesswoman based in Florida, who was previously a director of payment company Worldpay and British telecom operator BT. An IT expert, she will become a member of the audit committee.

Teyssen and Richardson replace Sir Ian Davis, who was previously chairman of McKinsey and who will retire on 30 December, and Brendan Nelson, a former KPMG accountant who will step down from the board after the group's shareholders meeting in May 2021
