Rio Tinto: welcomes Australia's sustainable aluminium initiative

The credit is designed to support Australian smelters in their transition to renewable electricity sources by 2036, securing investment, local employment and the competitiveness of the aluminium industry.

According to Kellie Parker, Managing Director of Rio Tinto Australia, this initiative is essential to modernize the sector and position Australia as a leader in low-carbon metals.

This support reinforces Rio Tinto's efforts to secure affordable renewable energy, including partnerships for large-scale wind and solar projects.
