Diageo: 200m for net zero brewery in Ireland

(CercleFinance.com) - Diageo today announced plans to invest 200 million euros in Ireland's first net zero brewery on a greenfield site in Littleconnell, Newbridge.


The new facility will brew lager and ale (including Rockshore, Harp, Hop House 13, Smithwick's, Kilkenny and Carlsberg).

When fully operational, the brewery is expected to have a capacity of 2 million hectolitres, making it the second largest brewing facility in Ireland after St. James's Gate, supporting the future growth of Diageo Ireland's beer brands.

The state-of-the-art brewery will be powered by 100% renewable energy and will use the latest processing technology to minimise overall energy and water consumption.
