bioMérieux: distribution agreement with Specific Diagnostics

(CercleFinance.com) - bioMérieux and Specific Diagnostics, an in vitro diagnostic systems company for clinical microbiology, announce that bioMérieux will distribute Specific Diagnostics' REVEAL rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing system in Europe.


The REVEAL rapid antibiotic testing system offers clients an easy-to-use instrument with a focused menu, small size and scalable configuration to meet the needs of hospitals of all sizes, they said.

In addition, bioMérieux will invest 10 million dollars through a Convertible Promissory Note to support commercial operations. After this transaction, the company will own approximately 8% of Specific Diagnostics.
