Europcar Mobility: acquires US Fox Rent A Car

(CercleFinance.com) - Europcar Mobility Group announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement for the acquisition of the US company Fox Rent A Car.


Europcar says it wants to make Fox Rent A Car the platform for its future developments in the United States, the world's largest car rental market.

Fox Rent A Car operates a network of 21 stations for businesses and around 100 franchised agencies. The company is present in 15 of the 25 largest US airports.

In a statement, Europcar said that this "strategic" acquisition will be the last of its M&A program that it started three years ago.

The terms of the deal, paid for in cash and shares, were not disclosed.
