Europcar: Q1 sales down slightly
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday evening Europcar announced Q1 2019 sales of 553 million euros, down slightly (-0.
6% at constant exchange rates) compared to the first quarter of 2018.
The company said that this fall is due to two main factors. First, the start of the year was marked by a deterioration in economic conditions and second, the Easter weekend was in April this year. The group added that in April it recorded a 5.1% increase in sales relative to April 2018.
In all, it made a net loss of 64 million euros in Q1 2019, identical to the loss made a year ago.
Europcar has confirmed its FY 2019 financial targets. In particular, targeting sales of over 3 billion euros, with adjusted corporate Ebitda of above 375 million euros.
