Spie: several sports projects completed this summer
(CercleFinance.com) - Spie announced on Friday that it had successfully completed a series of sustainable infrastructure projects for major international sporting events held in France this summer.
Its subsidiary Spie Building Solutions, which specializes in building intelligence, has installed high-voltage substations for the City of Paris to supply power to events taking place at the Champ de Mars and Parc des Princes.

Spie CityNetworks, its division dedicated to energy networks, has also renovated the Geoffroy Guichard stadium in Saint-Étienne, one of the eight French cities to have hosted the Olympic Games.Olympics.
With a capacity of 42,000 spectators, this stadium now benefits from new, modernized sound and lighting systems, enabling a 25% reduction in energy consumption.
At the same time, Spie CityNetworks carried out telecom network coverage work for 21 temporary and 12 permanent sites linked to international sporting events, including stations, stadiums and other public places for a telephone operator.
Finally, the subsidiary was also involved in the 14 km extension of line 14 South of the Paris metro, linking Olympiades to Orly Airport, taking charge of the installation of electrical systems, infrastructure, safety and communications equipment.
Created in 1900 for the electrification of the Paris metro, Spie has thus returned to its historical roots.
