Elis: Q1 sales down 12.8%
(CercleFinance.com) - Industrial cleaning and services group Elis has reported Q1 2021 sales of 658.
2 million euros, down 12.8% in organic terms y-o-y, albeit slightly better than expected, the company said.
Representing 75% of revenues, the Industry, Health and Commerce & Services segments are close to normal for the quarter, it said. However, the Hotel and Restaurant business remains difficult and there are still no signs of a recovery in international tourism.
In this context, Elis nevertheless maintains a 2021 organic growth forecast of around +3%, taking into account an upturn in business from Q2, with in particular organic sales growth of around +22% in April.
Elis is therefore with confident about the future: its fundamentals are solid, with diversification a major asset while its business model will enable to assert its leadership in all the countries where it operates, it said.
