(CercleFinance.com) - Announced on Wednesday evening, industial cleaner Elis' H1 results included a 20.
5% fall in sales to 412.5 million euros, in a difficult context due to the coronavirus crisis.
Meanwhile, its EBITDA fell by 15.3%, to 439.9 million euros. However, the good news is that its EBITDA margin improved by 20 bp to 32.5% of sales.
Reported earnings reached 49.7 million euros, down 51.2%.
"Despite a marked increase of Hospitality in July, the persistent uncertainties regarding activity pickup as well as the very uncertain economic environment do not allow us to provide a revenue outlook for the year, Thanks to the important efforts to decrease the cost base in H1 and the action plans that have been defined, the Group is facing the next 18 months with serenity, In this context, 2020 EBITDA margin and free cash flow should be quite close to what the Group delivered in 2019," Elis said.
