Suez: fairly unaffected by news on disposals

(CercleFinance.com) - According to BFM Business, Suez is about to announce a "new strategic plan" to significantly change its scope, and in particular to lead to a recovery in its share price.

However, the share is not budging much this morning in Paris, albeit up slightly (+0.4%), just outperforming the market as a whole.

BFM Business believes that the utilities group, led by its new CEO Bertrand Camus, will unveil these measures on 2 October.

Essentially this the Suez will refocus on international expansion and its industrial clients rather than local authorities. This would include the divestment of the US company United Water, in which Suez holds 80%. Other sales could include the Spanish subsidiary Agbar and a significant proportion of its Waste business in Europe.
