Suez: builds plastic waste recycling plant in Thailand

(CercleFinance.com) - Suez has announced the construction of a plastic waste recycling plant in Bang Phli, near Bangkok in Thailand.


The plant will contribute to the Thai government's ambitious goal of recycling 100% of collected plastics by 2030.

The plant will convert 30,000 tonnes of locally collected polyethylene film into high-quality post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR) each year. It will hence produce quality secondary raw materials for the plastics industry.

In addition, the facility will be equipped with a powerful water treatment system, to reduce the water consumption required for recycling, and meet the most stringent environmental standards that are in force locally.
