Getlink: truck traffic down 11% in June

(CercleFinance.com) - Getlink has announced that its Shuttle Freight transported over 108,000 trucks in June 2020, down 11% y-o-y, although it still benefited from the gradual economic recovery following the string of ends to lockdowns.
 

Meanwhile, Passenger Shuttles transported over 73,000 passenger cars, down sharply (-69%), although "This figure should be seen in light of the very severe restrictions in relation to border crossings imposed by the French and British governments".

Since 1 January, over 665,000 trucks and almost 555,000 passenger cars have crossed the Channel on board Getlink's shuttles, respectively down 18% and 52% relative to the first six months of 2019.
