ADP: Q1 sales better than expected

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Aéroports de Paris reported better-than-expected Q1 sales, maintaining its outlook.

At 474 million euros, consolidated revenues fell by 48% over the first three months of the year, a decline that the airport operator says is due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on its aviation and commercial activities.

However, this performance still exceeded the consensus of 437 million euros.

Already published, traffic was down 60.2% relative to Q1 2020, to 24.9 million passengers, which is one third the level of group traffic in Q1 2019.

Traffic at Paris Airport alone, which includes the Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly hubs, fell by 75%.

In a statement, ADP nevertheless said that it confirms its traffic assumptions and forecasts and anticipated a return to 2019 traffic levels in Paris between 2024 and 2027.

ADP shares rose by over 1% on Wednesday morning following this publication.
