Arkema: increases capacity further in Changshu
(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema has announced that it will invest to further increase its Kynar fluoropolymers production capacity at Changshu by 35%, with this capacity increase set to become operational by the end of 2022.
This new investment is supported by ever-increasing demand in the lithium-ion battery sector, as well as significant opportunities in water filtration, as well as coatings in the construction and semiconductor industries.
Built in 2010 to meet the strong growth potential in Asia, and particularly China, the Changshu plant has seen its production capacity increased several times over the decade, and most recently in December 2020.
