Arkema: Q2 income down almost 20%

(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema has published Q2 2019 net income, group share that is down 19.
6% at 176 million euros, i.e. 1.82 euro per share, with EBITDA of 407 million euros, meaning a margin of 18.1%, against 18.9% a year ago.

At 2,254 million euros, the chemist's revenues fell by 0.7%, with volumes down 2.4%, reflecting lower demand than last year in the automotive, consumer electronics and oil and gas sectors.

While remaining attentive to changes in macroeconomic conditions, Arkema confirms its aim to consolidate its financial performance at high levels and targets 2019 EBITDA similar to the record level of 2018.
