EDF: wins 12 photovoltaic power plant projects
(CercleFinance.com) - EDF Renouvelables today announced that it has won 12 ground-based photovoltaic power plant projects with a total capacity of 105 MW, following a highly competitive tender, with an average price for the selected projects of 57.
4 E/MWh, down 7.4% compared to the previous tender.
EDF ENR, the group's subsidiary dedicated to such solar projects, has won 9.4 MW, bringing the total capacity won by the EDF group to over 114 MW.
The new solar power plants will be located in six French regions (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Centre-Val de Loire, Grand Est, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Pays de la Loire), with their construction beginning in 2021.
Since its launch at the end of 2017, EDF has increased the number of winning solar projects by a factor of six in response to calls to tender. The Solar Plan aims to make EDF one of the leaders in solar energy in France with a market share of 30% by 2035.
