Alstom: presents Italy's 1st hydrogen-powered train

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom will present Italy's first hydrogen-powered train and the latest innovations in smart mobility at EXPO Ferroviaria 2023.


Alstom will showcase a wide range of solutions and technologies, consolidating its leading position in smart and sustainable mobility.

At the event, Alstom will unveil the Coradia Stream, a hydrogen-powered train with zero carbon emissions and fuel cells. The train is due to begin commercial service at Valcamonica, on the non-electrified Brescia-Iseo-Edolo line operated by Ferrovienord and Trenord. This will be the train's first appearance in Italy.

Finally, Alstom will present some of its latest innovations. They include Alstom's intelligent maintenance robot, developed by the Alstom team in Italy, which, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence, aims to increase the precision of visual inspections and maintenance checks, thereby improving fleet and passenger safety.
