Engie: 'significant' contract with British Army
(CercleFinance.com) - Serco announced on Monday that its joint venture with France's Engie had won a "significant" contract with the British Army.
The outsourcing specialist said in a statement that the contract could be worth a total of around 3.4 billion pounds (about 4 billion euros) by the end of the seven-year agreement.
The 'base' phase of the contract with the UK Ministry of Defence is estimated to be worth around 900 million pounds (around 1.05 billion euros).
The joint venture between Serco and Suez, called "Vivo", will be responsible for providing maintenance services and regulatory safety audits for defence infrastructure in the UK.
