Engie: wins two contracts in Mexico and Chile

(CercleFinance.com) - Today Engie announced that it has signed a long-term contract for the purchase of electricity in Mexico, which is based on the supply of renewable energy to the steel producer Gerdau over 15 years.


Electricity will come from a 130 MW photovoltaic plant that is currently being developed by Sonora group in the north of the country.

The group has also announced that it has signed another long-term contract for the purchase of electricity with Nuevo Pudahuel, the operator of the Santiago de Chile airport. Under this agreement, Engie will provide the airport with 105 GWh of 100%-certified green electricity p.a. over 16 years.
