Orange: satellite connectivity partnership with Telesat
(CercleFinance.com) - Orange has announced that it is joining forces with Telesat, dubbed one of the world's largest and most innovative satellite operators, to offer new satellite connectivity options through a strategic commercial partnership.
As part of this agreement, a Telesat Lightspeed landing station will be hosted at Orange's teleport in Bercenay-en-Othe, France, and will benefit from a terrestrial connection to their Point of Presence (PoP) located in Paris via an International Private Line (IPL) provided byOrange Wholesale.
In addition, Orange has signed a capacity commitment enabling it to integrate the Telesat Lightspeed service in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) into its global portfolio of services for enterprises and telecom operators.
We look forward to expanding our connectivity solutions with Telesat Lightspeed, strengthening the resilience of our network for mobile backhauling, emergency situations and remote connectivity, Orange said.
