Orange: acquisition in cyber security in UK

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange, the French incumbent telecom operator, this morning announces its acquisition of the British company SecureData, which is specialised in cybersecurity (and its consulting subsidiary SensePost), presented as the leader of the UK market.


The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Through this deal, Orange believes that it will become one of the leaders in cyber security on the European market.

In 2018, SecureData's revenue came in at around 50 million euros, considering that growth has exceeded 20% since 2016. The target has around 200 employees in the UK and South Africa.
