BNP Paribas: redemption of perpetual bonds
(CercleFinance.com) - For regulatory reasons BNP Paribas announces the redemption of two perpetual deeply subordinated notes that were issued on 13 July 2006 and 25 June 2007 respectively, which will lose their Tier 1 eligibility as of 1 January 2022.
As at 30 September 2021, their nominal values were 150 million euros and 1.1 billion dollars respectively. In accordance with applicable regulations, the French bank has sought and obtained prior approval from the European Central Bank to proceed with the early redemption of these bonds.
