Eiffage: pens E192m contract in Senegal

(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage, through Eiffage Benelux subsidiary Herbosch-Kiere, has signed a 50/50 joint venture with Enshore Subsea for an EPCI contract to design, manufacture and install submarine power cables in Dakar, Senegal, awarded by MCA-Sénégal II.


The contract, worth a total of $205m (E192m), was awarded to meet demand to improve the high-voltage network in and around Dakar.

Herbosch-Kiere and Enshore Subsea will install two 16-kilometre-long 225 kVm power cables at sea and six 2-kilometre-long 225 kVm power cables on land, between the west coast (Rive Bel Air) and the east coast (Cap des Biches) of the Bay of Dakar.
