Vivendi: to broadcast Ligue 1 again - BOFA GR says 'buy'

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday an analyst at Bank of America Global Research confirms a "buy" recommendation on the Vivendi share, saying that the renewed broadcast of French Ligue 1 football matches on Canal+ over the period 2020/2024 is a positive sign for the group.


The broker believes that the recovery of broadcasting rights for the French football league will enable the channel to broadcast a solid range of programmes, appealing to many viewers. This news indeed reassures investors, who "had expressed doubts about the survival of Canal + after the loss of rights last year".
