Saint-Gobain: invests in new plasterboard plant in Spain

(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain announces that it is building a new plasterboard line at its Quinto plant near Zaragoza, Spain, an investment of 40 million euros, which "will enable the company to expand its range of high value-added products and construction solutions".


As the leader in gypsum and plasterboard in Spain, Saint Gobain will thus be able to capture the growth of the Spanish market and its rapid shift towards more complex needs, particularly for lightweight construction systems.

This production line will be operational in 2022 and will create 70 direct jobs. It will use the most recent technologies, permitting a significant reduction in environmental impacts and from an ambitious Industry 4.0 program.
