Plastic Omnium: expects strong recovery in 2021 sales

(CercleFinance.com) - Plastic Omnium has reported 2020 economic revenue of 7,732 million euros, down 15.
8% and down 13.8% at constant exchange rates compared with 2019.

Consolidated revenue reached 7,073 million euros at 31 December 2020, down 16.7% and down 14.8% at constant exchange rates. This integrates a negative FX effect of 161 million euros.

The group's 2020 operating profit came in at 118 million euros, representing 1.7% of consolidated revenue.

Net income, group share reached 251 million euros in 2020, compared with 258 million euros in 2019. In the second half of the year, net income, group share was 152 million euros (3.7% of revenue), compared with E103 million in the second half of 2019 (2.4% of revenue).

Plastic Omnium expects a strong recovery in revenue in 2021, an operating margin of 6% of revenue, similar to that of 2019, with free cash flow generation of over 220 million euros, higher than in 2019.
