Veolia: supports a new model of solar electrification

(CercleFinance.com) - Today Veolia announces that its foundation is renewing its support for the Nanoé Développement association, which is experimenting a new model of solar and decentralised electrification in Madagascar.


The project relies on entrepreneurs who are trained in the management of "nano-networks," which use solar energy to power five or six homes.

Each household buys its energy in advance via a secure platform, which is accessible from a mobile phone.The electricity supplied can power several LED lamps and charge an electrical or electronic device such as a mobile phone, Veolia said.
