EssilorLuxottica: project for smart glasses

(CercleFinance.com) - At the annual Facebook Connect conference, which was broadcast online, Facebook and EssilorLuxottica announced a multi-year partnership for the development of a new generation of smart glasses.


This partnership will combine Facebook applications and technologies with Luxottica's leadership and emblematic brands and Essilor's expertise in glasses to help consumers be more connected with their friends and families.

This first common product will be marketed under the Ray-Ban brand. The name, specifications, functionalities, price and other product information will be announced ahead of the planned launch in 2021.
