Thales: launches Express-80 and Express-103 satellites

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales has announced that the Express-80 and Express-103 telecommunications satellites, built in partnership with ISS Reshetnev, have been successfully launched by a Proton launcher from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakstan.


The Express-80 and Express-103 satellites will provide fixed and mobile communications, TV and radio broadcasting, data transmission and Internet access services on Russian territory to RSCC, (Russian Satellite Communication Company), the main Russian satellite operator.

Thales Alenia Space has been a partner of Russia for over twenty years, since the SEASAT program.
