Thales: new contract for Thales Alena Space
(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday Thales has announced that Thales Alenia Space, (a JV between Thales and Leonardo), has signed a contract, the first part of which amounts to 72 million euros, with OHB System, to develop the payload of the 2 satellites of the CO2M mission.
This part of the European Copernicus program.
"Copernicus is the core satellite Earth observation program of the European Commission and a cornerstone of the European Space Agency (ESA) activities in the field as well. It provides Earth observation data for environmental protection, climate monitoring, natural disaster assessment and other social tasks," Thales said.
