Michelin: creates joint-venture with Faurecia

(CercleFinance.com) - Faurecia and Michelin announce that they have formalised the creation of Symbio, Faurecia Michelin Hydrogen Company.


This joint venture brings together all their activities dedicated to the hydrogen fuel cell. It aims to become a world leader in hydrogen mobility.

The joint venture is in charge of developing, producing and marketing hydrogen fuel cell systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and trucks, as well as in other areas of electromobility.

Faurecia brings its technological expertise in hydrogen mobility and R&D work carried out with the CEA (Commissariat for Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy).

Meanwhile, Michelin brings the expertise of its subsidiary Symbio, an OEM supplying hydrogen fuel cell kits combined with a range of services and design and production activities.
