Imerys: EU approves acquisition of Imerys HTS

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of the French-based Imerys High Temperature Solutions business (Imerys HTS) by US-based Platinum Equity.


Imerys HTS provides high temperature refractory solutions to the steel, thermal and foundry markets globally.

Platinum Equity is a company specialising in the acquisition and operation of global businesses that provide services in a wide range of activities, including the metallurgical sector.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise competition concerns, given its very limited impact on the market structure.
