Danone: H1 EPS down 10%

(CercleFinance.com) - Danone has reported underlying H1 2020 EPS that is down 10% at 1.
68 euro, with an underlying operating margin that is down 0.7 point at 14% for sales of 12.2 billion euros, down 3.6% (-1.1% on a comparable basis).

After a solid momentum in the first three months of the year, the agri-food group saw its sales contract by 5.7% like-for-like in the second quarter, weighed on by lockdown measures taken worldwide.

As business remains difficult to predict in the second half of the year, with major uncertainties remaining regarding the consequences of the pandemic, at this stage Danone is not in a position to update its financial outlook for FY 2020.
