AXA: Barclays raises target price

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday Barclays raised its target price for AXA shares from 29 euros to 31.
5 euros, maintaining its "overweight" rating on the stock.

In a sector report on insurance companies, where it recommends "keeping it simple", the analyst reiterates his preference for AXA and Zurich because of the favourable momentum from which they enjoy in property and casualty insurance for businesses, a trend which he believes should continue to support the growth of their profits and dividends.

The broker also believes that both stocks could pleasantly surprise in terms of capital redistribution.
