L'Oréal: exclusive beauty partnership signed with Jacquemus
(CercleFinance.com) - L'Oréal announced Friday that it has signed an exclusive long-term partnership with Jacquemus to develop fragrances and beauty products for the Parisian brand.
The cosmetics group points out that the agreement will be accompanied by a minority equity investment to support the development of the independent fashion house, founded in 2009 by Simon Porte Jacquemus.
With its singular brand identity, fueled by sensational creativity and expression, Jacquemus will perfectly complement L'Oréal Luxe's portfolio of iconic brands and reinforce our global leadership, L'Oréal Luxe said.
Known for its fashion shows in unique and unexpected locations such as a Parisian swimming pool, a lavender field in Provence or a wheat field on the outskirts of Paris, the label is also renowned for its strong digital presence.
The Parisian house, which today employs over 300 people, opened its first permanent flagship store on Avenue Montaigne in 2022.
Since then, several other stores have opened in Dubai, Seoul, New York (SoHo) and London (New Bond Street).
This announcement comes the day after L'Oréal presented annual results that fell short of expectations, leading the share to post the biggest drop in the CAC 40 index this morning, down 3.7%.
