L'Oréal: earnings down in 2020, but dividend raised
(CercleFinance.com) - Cosmetics giant L'Oréal has reported sales of 27.
99 billion euros for 2020, down 4.1% like-for-like compared to 2019.
While business was driven by the Active Cosmetics division (+18.9% like-for-like), the other segments business posted falls: -6.4% for Professional Products, -4.7% for Consumer Products and -8.1% for L'Oréal Luxe (-8.1%).
In all, net income, group share came in at 4 billion euros, down 5.9% compared to 2019.
Diluted EPS was 7.3 euros, slightly above the consensus, although down 5.7% y-o-y.
The group finally announced a dividend of 4 euros, up 3.9%.
