L'Oréal: acquires Takami Co in Japan
(CercleFinance.com) - L'Oréal announces that it has signed an agreement to acquire Japanese company Takami Co, which develops and markets skincare products licenced by the Takami brand, belonging to Dr Hiroshi Takami.
On this occasion, the French cosmetics giant has also renewed its brand licensing contract with Dr Takami for a very long term and signed a collaboration agreement with his two dermatological clinics in Tokyo. The acquisition should be completed within the next few weeks. The Takami brand turned over approximately 50 million euros in 2019 and will continue to pursue growth this year despite difficult market conditions impacted by Covid-19.
