TotalEnergies: wind farm inaugurated in Taiwan

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies and its partners have announced the inauguration of the Yunlin offshore wind farm in Taiwan.
The wind farm produces renewable electricity at its planned capacity of 640 MW.

TotalEnergies holds a 29.46% stake in Yunneng Wind Power, the joint venture in charge of the project, alongside Skyborn Renewables (31.98%), EGCO Group (26.56%) and Sojitz (12%).

After commercial operation, scheduled for June 2025, TotalEnergies will manage the technical operations, while Skyborn will continue to manage the commercial aspects.

In Asia, TotalEnergies has a renewable portfolio (solar, wind, batteries) of more than 23 GW gross at all stages.

This 640 MW project contributes to our 2025 targets of 35 GW of gross renewable capacity and more than 50 TWh of net electricity production, representing 10% of the energy produced by TotalEnergies. Our role as technical operator on Yunlin will enable us to strengthen our skills in offshore wind power, with a view to our future projects in Germany, Denmark and the UK, TotalEnergies said.
