TotalEnergies: EU clears two joint acquisitions

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of Clearway Energy Group and SunPower Group, both of which are based in the US, by France's TotalEnergies and the US group Global Infrastructure Management.

Clearway Energy Group is an energy infrastructure investor focusing on investments in the US.

SunPower Group is a provider of solar technologies and energy services in the US and Canada.

TotalEnergies is a publicly traded energy company active globally in the oil and gas industry.

GIP is an independent global infrastructure fund manager primarily focused on investments in the transportation, energy, digital infrastructure and waste and water sectors.

The Commission concluded that the proposed concentration would not raise competition concerns given its very limited impact on the structure of the market concerned.

The TotalEnergies share is flat at about 52 euros this lunchtime.
