TotalEnergies: refining margin increases in Q2

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies has announced that its European refining margin increased to 10.
2 dollars per tonne in Q2 2021, from 5.3 dollars in Q1 and 14.3 dollars a year ago.

This margin is equal to the difference between sales of refined products by Total's European refineries and the purchase of crude oil with associated variable costs, divided by the quantities refined in tonnes.

In addition, the energy group states that over the past quarter, the average price of Brent crude oil was 69 dollars per barrel ($/b), the average price of liquids sales was 62.9 dollars/b, the average price of gas was 4.43 dollars/Mbtu and the average price of LNG was 6.59 dollars/Mbtu.
