Total: Synova doubles production capacity

(CercleFinance.com) - Total announces that it will double the production capacity of its subsidiary Synova to meet growing market demand for high-performance recycled materials, particularly for the automotive market.


This French leader that is based in Normandy will produce 40,000 tonnes of recycled polypropylene meeting the high quality standards of automotive equipment suppliers and car makers in early 2021, the oil and gas giant said.

As a founding member of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, which brings together around 40 companies in the plastics and consumer goods value chain, Total aims to produce 30% of its polymers from recycled plastics by 2030.
